Education and Self-Sufficiency

Education is a key component of self-sufficiency. We believe education is a critical investment in the future of our community. We fund programs that:

• Provide family/parent and early childhood education, such as reading readiness programs, remedial skills training, and programs that prepare children for learning.
• Utilize specialized teaching methods to create an environment that is conducive to effective learning.
• Support core-city K-12 schools (public, private, or charter) that give children in the city the same opportunities as their peers in the suburbs.
